Terms of Use

By creating a profile on SCN (Social Coding Network) you agree to these terms and to the Community Guidelines below. You can read both inside SCN too, in Settings → Legal and support.

Last updated 24 October 2026

No objectionable content, no abusive people

SCN has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behaviour. Don't post or send anything hateful, harassing, threatening, sexual, violent, illegal, spammy or deceptive, or anything that infringes someone else's rights. Content that breaks these rules can be removed, and accounts that break them can be suspended or removed for good.

Reporting and blocking

You can report any post, reply or account from its ⋯ menu, and block anyone. A reported post or reply is hidden for you right away. Blocking hides that person's posts, replies and messages from you, and they can't message you.

Your content

What you post is yours, and you're responsible for it. Only share work you made or have the right to share. You let SCN show your content so others can see, rate and reply to it.

Posts can show websites and presentations hosted by other services. Those services, and what they show, are their own. Don't post links to harmful, deceptive or illegal pages.

Project requests

Project requests are between you and the other person. SCN isn't part of any agreement or payment between you.

Fair use

Don't try to break, overload or get around SCN's limits and safety features, use bots or scripts to post, follow or message, or access other people's accounts. SCN limits how often anyone can post, reply and message to keep spam out.

Who can use SCN

You must be at least 13, or older if the law where you live requires it.

Deleting your account

Delete your account any time in Settings → Delete account. It removes your profile and everything you made, right away. See the Privacy Policy for what SCN keeps.

Community Guidelines

SCN is a place to show what you build and meet people who build too. Keep it that way:

  • Be respectful. Critique the project, not the person. No harassment, bullying or pile-ons.
  • No hate. No slurs or attacks on anyone for who they are.
  • No sexual content or nudity.
  • No violence or threats, and never encourage anyone to hurt themselves.
  • No spam or scams. No fake ratings, no misleading links, no malware or phishing.
  • Share your own work, or credit the people who made it.
  • Rate honestly. Ratings are for the project, not to settle scores.

SCN blocks some words and phrases outright. If you see something that breaks these rules, report it from its ⋯ menu, and block the person if you don't want to see them again.

Changes

If these terms change, we'll update this page and ask you to agree to the new version in SCN.
